missed assignment from week2
These videos show a bunch of students working in Real World, Virtual Reality and a mix of the two. There is some Mars wandering, some rocket launching some space exploration and a lot of fun learning. The coolest part is that some Alabama kids get to interact live with NASA folks miles and miles away.
creating in Open Thing
This was an interesting little experiment with the Google Sketch Up program to create stuff for 3d worlds.
fifth and sixth open world pics
Here's a little town full of buildings and trees and streets and sidewalk.
No people no dogs and no squirrels.
The Immersive Ed Testing Ground
I guess we will be making, importing and royally screwing up a lot of stuff here.

Forth
Here is the Medical ICU.
I'm looking at a chart of the human body which would be used to train students and would most likely be a prop for discussion on different things.
The Education Grid
Here's a couple shots from the Education Grid
I don't really know what to say about the place. It's an intersting take on interactive immersive education that can change the way the world interacts and learns. It is highly based around Second Life.
Open Wonderland Video
This is Nicoel - She taught me all kinds of cool, nifty and useful information.
Open wonderland has a ton of functionality to help with business and academic instructional environments. Users are able to create interactive meeting areas where others can watch video, brainstorm, and colaborate on a number of levels. She first sets up a PDF viewer and drag/drops some pdfs for everyone to look at. Then she sets a web page as the home page in a in-world web browser (firefox in this case).
Later she demonstrates how a live meeting takes place where users can raise their hands to ask questions, draw on white boards with each other, wander off to speak in private and SO much more! Nicole explains the security of different areas and even how to bring in a phone conversation and have a user move this call around to talk to different groups in different areas.

LAND: Terraforming
Still unable to edit. That dude was seriously starting to get on my nerves too. I'm sorry, but I was just getting tired of him. I hope to never listen to Torely whoever ever again.
How to deal with annoyances
First off - I don't have any of these options for the reason mentioned before, second I just don't care anough to be annoyed by these things. Above is a cap of the options I have.
How to Copy a prim
More Fail -The link in the homework takes me to the wrong video. But on the bright side - I can copy a prim!
How to use the building grid
I do not have the same options here either. I think it has to do with not being granted permission yet.
Notice the limited options on the Tools menu.

Navigating in small spaces
got stuck behind a box - played with mouse view. Got a little tired of where I was.
I really liked the tip about the z coord.
Plus it's kinda fun falling from 400meters.
